My Journey Toward Becoming a Professional Coach Hasn’t Been Filled With Rainbows and Butterflies
My life was once a never-ending and exhausting cycle of stress, anxiety, and control. I was living in survival mode, simply reacting to the challenges life threw my way, and constantly striving for control over every little detail
of my existence. I thought that being a perfectionist was something to brag about, but little did I know that it was slowly killing my spirit, leaving me feeling empty and unfulfilled.
I knew deep down that I was not living up to my core values. Every interaction felt fake, and I was trapped in a web of fear that I couldn’t seem to escape from. Daily stress and unresolved childhood wounds had taken a toll on my nervous system, leaving me feeling burned out, emotionally
drained, and mentally exhausted.
I tried everything to break free from this cycle of suffering. I read countless books and attended motivational workshops, but they only scratched the surface of my pain. I knew I needed something deeper, something that would address my body and nervous system at their core. It wasn’t until I traveled to India, to the holy city of Rishikesh, to study and practice Yoga that I finally found a glimmer of hope. And it was there where my true healing journey began.
Through my self-practice and studies of yogic science, I dove deeper into the root cause of my suffering and trauma. And I finally started to understand the power of nervous system regulation and somatic trauma resolution. With each passing day, I did the inner work, and gradually, I started to blossom.
Through my healing journey, I have found deep purpose and passion. I decided to follow my calling and pursue a career in Somatic Coaching. And I did just that!
I became a Trauma & Polyvagal informed Somatic Coach. I had the privilege of learning from the pioneers in the field of Somatics and Trauma such as; Dr. Peter Levine – Dr. Stephen Porges –Dr. Richard Strozzi – Deb Dana – Staci Haines – Michael Allison, Mark Walsh, and many more.
I wholeheartedly believe that deep and lasting transformation happens at the level of the Soma (body) and that we are inherently resilient beings, we just need to remember that and cultivate our inner resilience.
And it brings me immense joy to provide individuals with the tools to discover a sense of safety and empowerment within their bodies.
My journey is still ongoing; I am forever a beautiful work in progress, and I am grateful for my embodiment skills that created a strong sense of connection, self-compassion, and resilience.
